Body Focused Repetitive Disorder's
What are BFRD? Body Focused Repetitive Disorders are a set of impulse driven actions in which individuals target different areas or sites of the body. Individuals with these disorders engage in repetitive, seemingly compulsive behaviours that involves biting, pulling, scratching, picking, or chewing at one's own skin, hair or nails. Either at the result of relieving stress, or for the persons own gratification. BFRD if left untreated can result to permanent damage to the body, as well as, affecting the mental health of the individual.
